I'm reading a book and came across a section where a bomb is being defused. »Finally he made the ticking stop. No explosion accompanied the sudden silence.« Hm, there's something strange about an explosion "accompanying" a silence ;-)

But what a nitpicker I am! This very fine book is called Earthweb, a science fiction novel by Marc Stiegler, and apart from being well written it contains very dense and specific information on what the author sees as the future of the web. Make sure you read Marc's Introduction To Capability Based Security, a central theme in the book.

Oh! I just rediscovered what is for me one of the finest records ever made: Supersonic Storybook by Urge Overkill. Early nineties, I just had moved into a little flat in Ungargasse with Tom, and we had a beautiful practice room which was actually a sculptor's atelier in the Prater next the Trabrennbahn. Now is actually the first time I'm listening to this record on a decent stereo system.
